Изучить особенности суточных колебаний биометрических и структурных параметров зрительного нерва (ЗН) у пациентов с разными стадиями первичной открытоугольной глаукомы (ПОУГ).</p></sec><sec><title>МЕТОДЫ</title><p>МЕТОДЫ. В исследовании приняли участие 105 пациентов с глаукомой разных стадий. Контрольная группа составила 20 человек без глаукомы. Помимо офтальмологического исследования, проводили анализ суточных паттернов биометрических и структурных параметров ЗН.</p></sec><sec><title>РЕЗУЛЬТАТЫ</title><p>РЕЗУЛЬТАТЫ. При ультразвуковом исследовании ЗН в течение 12-часового периода (с 8:00 до 20:00) у па- циентов с ПОУГ далекозашедшей стадии имело место статистически достоверное уменьшение толщины ЗН как с оболочками, так и без оболочек (по сравнению с группой контроля (р&lt;0,05). При исследовании акустической плотности (АП) ЗН и его оболочек на глазах с далекозашедшей стадией глаукомы регистрировали статистически значимое увеличение АП по сравнению с нормой</p></sec><sec><title>(р&lt;0,05)</title><p>(р&lt;0,05).</p></sec><sec><title>ЗАКЛЮЧЕНИЕ</title><p>ЗАКЛЮЧЕНИЕ. Выраженные изменения акустических параметров ЗН, характерные для далекозашедшей стадии ПОУГ, могут свидетельствовать о выраженных изменениях внутренней структуры нерва и его атрофическом поражении.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>PURPOSE</title><p>PURPOSE. To study the features of daily fluctuations in the biometric and structural parameters of the optic nerve (ON) in patients with different stages of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG).</p></sec><sec><title>METHODS</title><p>METHODS. The study included 105 patients with POAG at various stages. The control group consisted of 20 individuals without glaucoma. Daily patterns of biometric and structural parameters of the ON were analyzed in addition to standard ophthalmic examination.</p></sec><sec><title>RESULTS</title><p>RESULTS. Ultrasonographic examination of the ON over a 12-hour period (from 8:00 to 20:00) revealed a statistically significant reduction in ON thickness, both with and without its sheaths, in patients with advanced POAG compared with the control group (p&lt;0.05). In eyes with advanced glaucoma, acoustic density (AD) of the ON and its sheaths showed a statistically significant increase compared with normal values (p&lt;0.05).</p></sec><sec><title>CONCLUSION</title><p>CONCLUSION.
