Несмотря на сравнительно низкую распространенность глаукомы в данной возрастной группе, раннее начало заболевания ассоциируется с длительным течением, высоким риском прогрессирования и значимыми социально-экономическими последствиями.В настоящем обзоре проанализированы современные представления об эпидемиологии, патогенезе и клинических особенностях первичной открытоугольной глаукомы у лиц молодого возраста (18–44 лет). Рассматривается роль генетических факторов, системных нарушений соединительной ткани, биомеханической уязвимости глаза, миопической рефракции и сосудистых механизмов в формировании и прогрессировании глаукомного процесса.Комплексный междисциплинарный подход с учетом структурно-биомеханических и системных факторов является ключевым условием для раннего выявления заболевания, стратификации риска и персонализированного подхода в ведении пациентов молодого возраста.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Primary open-angle glaucoma in young adults is a relevant clinical and diagnostic challenge in modern ophthalmology due to its atypical course, high variability of intraocular pressure, and limited sensitivity of standard diagnostic methods at early stages.
